Sporting Facilities

The following facilities exist for the use of our learners and coaches:

  • 10 cricket nets
  • 2 permanent bowling machine nets
  • 2 cricket pitches
  • 1 athletics field – seasonal
  • 2 rugby fields – seasonal
  • 3 soccer fields – seasonal
  • 2 hockey fields – seasonal
  • 2 basketball courts
  • 5 netball / tennis courts
  • 1 x 25m swimming pool with grandstands and dedicated change rooms
  • 1 x 25m heated ‘Learn to Swim’ indoor pool.

In line with the School Board’s strategic long term plan, we at Marist Brothers Linmeyer will continue to explore avenues to improve and expand our sporting facilities in order to advance our sporting footprint among the schools in our area.

Marist Brothers Linmeyer, with its history going back to the early 1960’s, has always prided itself in being able to offer a wide range of sporting activities to its learners. To accommodate this diverse complement which includes all the main sports such as cricket, rugby, netball, athletics, tennis, swimming, soccer, cross country and hockey, we have added equestrian, archery, golf, basketball and water polo.

Being able to provide the facilities for all these sports remains a challenge. By careful planning and co-operation, among staff and teams, we can meet the needs for both the High and Primary schools, using the fields we have on the campus.
