Perfect Stroke Swimming is very excited to be teaching its Water Safety programme to the Marist Brothers Linmeyer Foundation Phase learners in the stunning new heated, indoor pool.
Our teachers are qualified through Swimming South Africa and believe in their motto of Every Child a Swimmer.
The goal of the programme is to encourage water safety through an understanding of the rules that keep us safe in and around water and assist children to become waterborne through a series of fun activities.
The importance of water safety as a life skill cannot be stressed enough as according to Netcare, “Drownings are listed as one of the top causes of unnatural death amongst children in South Africa.”
Perfect Stroke Swimming also offers its Beginner to Winner programme at the Marist Brothers Linmeyer heated, indoor pool in the afternoons and on Saturday mornings. Children from as young as three years old may join in the fun!
The swimmers’ progress can be tracked on the progress chart so Mum and Dad can see what they can already do and what they’re working towards. Swimmers who have completed the programme can join in squad training with Perfect Stroke Swimming Club whose swimmers have won medals at national level competition and train in the Marist Brothers Linmeyer outdoor pool during the summer months and in the indoor pool during winter.
