Mr Grobler is currently teaching Grades 10, 11 and 12 and he has a passion for Literature. He loves to read and finds it wonderful to explain the beauty of poetry to the students. As a teacher, he wants students to see the greatness of his language and what an expressive language it is. Mr Grobler wants students to realise that reading will open up new worlds to them, that it is great to be alive and it is our responsibility to use our God-given talents. Apart from his teaching role, he is a Grade 11 Head, the Housemaster of Geddes and is involved in Afrikaans Redenaars.
Mr Grobler’s favourite quote is by Langenhoven, who said, “Two things made my life on earth worthwhile – the love I gave and the love I received.” Interesting facts that not many people know about Mr Grobler include that he plays Ringball and is involved with the schools’ Ringball where he holds the position of treasurer of Ekurhuleni Schools Ringball. He is also a keen scrap booker. People with passion, who live life to the fullest, inspire him. Mr Grobler feels that it is the people at our School, the fact that you really do become part of the family, the sharing, the love and the professional way in which everything is conducted, are what makes it a special place. He believes that students are not seen as just a number, but rather that our School has the best interest of every individual in mind.
