Ms Clair Attewell

Ms Attewell obtained a Bachelor of Technology degree in Fine Arts from the University of Johannesburg attaining Cum Laude. Currently, she is teaching the Grades 8 and 9 Visual Arts discipline of Creative Arts and Grade 10 Visual Arts; and also has a particular passion for Drawing and Painting. Ms Attewell encourages her students to laugh and not to take themselves too seriously. She also encourages tolerance and not to be judgmental of the differences regarding gender, race, religion and lifestyle choices.

Ms Attewell is a past student of our School and in her opinion, Marist Brothers Linmeyer has become a home away from home.  She feels that there is an abundance of love, care and support amongst the staff and towards the students. Ms Attewell values each day that she gets to laugh and smile with her students and colleagues. Her hobbies include Painting, Running, Animals, Scuba Diving and Reading. Her favourite quote is, “Learn the rules like a pro so that you can break them like an artist,” by Pablo Picasso. Passionate people and students with a great sense of humor inspire Ms Attewell. A fact that not many people may know about Ms Attewell is that she has raised a lot of money for the Success Academy Rhino Trust and the Green Wall of Africa S.E.E. Projects, that fall under Rhino SA. A number of her paintings raised in excess of R10 000 in 2015 and 2016. We are very proud to have her teaching our budding artists.
