Ms Turnbull would like to create a forum for safe expression, communication, exploration, imagination and cultural and historical understanding. She would like to instil a habit of critical thinking when looking at art, as well as an appreciation of the arts. The arts free the mind from rigid certainty. Imagine the benefits of seeking, finding and developing multiple solutions to the problems facing our society today!
Ms Turnbull loves music; she often attends outdoor music festivals. She collects South African artists’ albums to support the local scene. She loves to read in her spare time and enjoys spending time with her family and friends! Her favourite quote is, “Logic will take you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere,” by Einstein. She is inspired by her eldest sister who is a doctor, mother of 3 and currently studying to specialise as a paediatrician. She has always looked up to her sister as she continues to amaze her daily. A fact that not many people may know about Ms Turnbull is that she secretly still enjoys watching cartoons or children’s shows. She often sits and watches these with her nieces and she loves animated movies.
