As we head into the exams thinking and communicating with clarity and precision becomes very important at this time, especially in answering exam questions. Students who are skilled at thinking and communicating with clarity and precision have developed a habit of using correct names for objects, ideas and processes. They avoid fuzzy language such as: “…that thingy over there.” “…it was really good.” Students must be taught and encouraged to communicate accurately and precisely both in oral and written form. They need to learn to transform their thoughts into clear and correct sentences on paper or out loud. Language refinement play a critical role in enhancing a person’s cognitive maps, and their ability to think critically which is the knowledge base producing action.
